Tonight is SCLD’s learning disability awards! All week we’ve been sharing our Day In The Life Of Indepen-dance to celebrate employability and learning disability. Tonight we head to the awards with our Sean who you heard from on Monday. We can’t wait to let you know what happens.
Today’s blog is from Ruth.
Woke up at 7am, went for a shower and got ready for work. Had a coffee and a banana. I drove to Johnstone, to Corseford school and set up for class with Fif. Had 2 classes with lots of dancing and playing instruments, the children had lots of fun. We finished at 11.45 and drove to Kelvinbank in Kirkintilloch. Had a great class with the adults, Fif played the flute beautifully for the relaxation part, you could have heard a pin drop! Everyone loved it. After class I drove to the Briggait to meet Claire for my appraisal. I now have a new title… Dance Development Worker. Finished for the day and drove home. Did a few emails then relaxed for the night, had dinner, watched a bit of TV, then off to bed. Another rewarding day at work.
