Young 1′z

This weekly creative session adopts a person-centered approach to dance, using music and props to assist. Working individually, in small groups or as a whole class, participants have the opportunity to explore dance in a safe and friendly environment. The emphasis is on sharing and having fun!

Young 1′z perform at Theatre Royal

Indepen-dance Young 1′z are currently in rehearsals preparing a new piece of choreography to show at this year’s Go Dance Event which will be hosted in the Theatre Royal on the 17th February. Tickets are on sale now from the Theatre Royal Box Office on 0844 871 7677

New Look for Young 1′z!

Further to generous funding from The Teddy Bear Foundation the Young 1′z now have fabulous new t-shirts and hoodies. The group is now preparing to take to the stage as part of the Go Dance Festival at The Theatre Royal in February 2012. There is also an article about the group on The Teddy Bear Foundation website.

Previous Events
 

• The Young 1′z performed at GO DANCE on 26th January 2011  at the Theatre Royal Glasgow.
• In July 2010 Indepen-dance hosted a youth residency programme  in Tramway. Funded by BBC Children in Need there is a clip of the project on their website: click here to see film
• The Young 1′z also took part in the Glasgow Delhi handover ceremony day at George Square in October 2010.  This was a great success and all of the company that took part were true professionals. Below are some images from the event.
