MADE IN SCOTLAND, ADORED IN THAILAND
It’s been an astonishing few weeks for our flagship inclusive dance ensemble: Indepen-dance 4 travelled to Bangkok to perform their critically acclaimed show ‘Four Go Wild in Wellies’ to rave reviews and standing ovations. The group dazzled the international audience and no sooner had they completed a long-haul flight back to Scotland, and been invited to perform in Australia, than they were back on the road for a press launch in Edinburgh. The incredible purpose of this press launch was to reveal that Made in Scotland had selected Indepen-dance 4 to appear in their coveted showcase at the 2018 Edinburgh Fringe. The event was attended by everyone from the best artists in the country, to the media and even the Scottish Culture Secretary Fiona Hyslop (pictured). This will undoubtedly give the group a platform to build on their success and a brilliant opportunity to reach more people with their ground-breaking work. It also means there will be at least 23 more chances for you to see their fantastic show at the world famous Edinburgh Fringe this August.
‘Four Go Wild In Wellies’ will take place at @dancebase (Venue 22) on the following dates: August 3rd- 5th (preview), August 7th- 26th (not Mondays) August 9th, 16th, 23rd (Relaxed Performances), August 7th (2 for 1)
PLEASE NOTE: Term 1 classes stop for the summer holidays on June 30th

Take Your Hat Off to Dance Your Shoes Off
We’ve had seven incredible years with Dance Your Socks Off (0-5 Years) so we recently decided to pilot a class called Dance Your Shoes Off aimed at those between the ages of 5-8 . We are happy to say it went very well indeed so we have decided to make it a regular occurrence every Saturday at The Pearce Institute.
Also, for those who would like to seriously step it up and try and take their skills to the next level, we started a new class this term called ‘Next Generation’. This class supports young disabled dancers with their progression of turning their hobbies into a full time profession.
